What happens if the intake or exhaust port of a compressor gets blocked?
In centrifugal compressors, if the inlet is blocked, the compressor will experience surge. I’m not quite sure what happens when the outlet is blocked; zero output should be unacceptable, right? It’s quite similar to centrifugal pumps

The export route is blocked, and it poses a serious threat – everyone knows that! The inlet is blocked, so there is no gas compression; this results in surge phenomena. Over time, this can have a negative impact on the buffer tank. I haven’t encountered this situation before!
