When studying axial flow fans, I often come across the term \"throat pressure difference,\" which is also a condition for fan interlocks. May I ask which part of the fan does the \"throat pressure difference\" refer to? I would appreciate your advice.
The throat differential pressure generally indicates the amount of air drawn in at the inlet of the axial flow main fan. There seems to be a formula for calculating this value; a higher throat differential pressure means that more air is being drawn in, while a lower differential pressure indicates less air intake. In such cases, the main fan is prone to surge.

The so-called throat pressure difference refers to the use of a constricted pipe with special properties installed before the inlet guide vanes of the air compressor; as the fluid flows through this section, a pressure difference is created there (measured by a pressure transmitter). This pressure difference is related to the flow rate, and any change in resistance actually corresponds to a change in flow rate.
The throat pressure difference is an interlocked value for anti-surge, primarily related to the outlet pressure.
