Structure of continuous sulfur melting furnace

Our facility has newly installed a single-tower desulfurization system equipped with a continuous sulfur melting tank. I was wondering if any expert here could explain to me the structure of this sulfur melting tank. Before installing the insulation, we checked the space inside the sulfur bubble that is heated by the upper and lower spiral plate heat exchangers. Don’t understand the actual fluid flow process? ? ? Thank you!
The sulfur melting vessel for sulfuric acid production is equipped with a steam coil inside and stirring within the vessel. The steam pressure is 0.4–0.5 MPa; sulfur has low viscosity and good fluidity at temperatures between 130–145 degrees. Can this be used as a reference?
This post was last edited by Gao Yunguan on 2017-11-14 09:58. As far as I know, a few companies have used spiral-plate type sulfur melting furnaces, but the results have not been satisfactory. It shouldn’t be needed anymore, I guess.
