Well, for a remote-mounted level gauge, it’s important that the range setting is accurate. The magnetic flip display on-site is fixed; as long as there are no blockages or obstructions, it should give accurate readings. It’s also intended to facilitate observation, so the ranges of the two devices need to be identical, with the upper and lower flange openings at the same horizontal level

Strictly speaking, it’s impossible for them to be completely identical. First of all, the error associated with flap-type level gauges is much greater than that of remote transmission level gauges. Second, changes in density significantly affect the degree of correspondence between remote transmission level gauges and flap-type level gauges, as remote transmission level gauges are calibrated based on density and height. To demand complete correspondence is simply a sign that your supervisors don’t understand the matter.
