What kind of gasket is it that consists of reinforced synthetic fibers bonded with NBR sheets (non-asbestos)? Is it similar to a covering pad?

Reinforced synthetic fibers: enhanced synthetic fibers; bound with: literally means to tie or attach. NBR sheets: thin sheets of NBR. In my understanding, the core of this material is the enhanced synthetic fibers, while the outer layer consists of NBR sheets. I’m not sure if this is correct; it’s the first time I’ve seen this type of gasket. I appreciate it if everyone can share their opinions on this. Thank you very much.
