The tube bundle leaks a lot, and the walls of other tube bundles that are not leaking are also seriously thinned, so the tube bundle needs to be replaced. How to replace the tube bundle?
Block the tube until the heat exchange function is lost, and then replace the shell side. . .
If there is a single leak, the pipe will be blocked (if it does not affect the heat exchange efficiency). If there are multiple leaks, the leak point will not be included and a pressure test will be performed.
It may not be a welding problem, it may also be an expansion joint problem.
According to you, there is a problem with the material selection and the corrosion situation was not anticipated. What medium are you using? What's the temperature? Concentration of corrosive substances? What materials are used? Simply replace the entire tube bundle and do a corrosion analysis. The material of the heat exchange tube must be properly selected. Just leave the shell side and redo the tube side.
No need to replace it, just buy a new one!
