A large amount of sulfur dust is generated during the sulfur molding process; at appropriate concentrations, this dust can form an explosive mixture that will explode when exposed to an open flame. 2. Sulfur products and liquid sulfur contain hydrogen sulfide gas, and in areas with poor ventilation, the hydrogen sulfide released can also form explosive mixtures. At the same time, hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic gas that can be fatal. 3. Sulfur is classified as a Class 2 flammable material; in the event of a fire, it will produce toxic sulfur dioxide gas, which is harmful to workers. Fire and explosion prevention safety measures: 1. The sulfur molding and granulation machines are equipped with explosion-proof exhaust fans; the maintenance team must inspect these exhaust fans at each shift change to ensure they are functioning properly. During operation of the molding machine, the exhaust fan must run continuously to ensure that dust levels remain within acceptable limits and to maintain a suitable working environment for the operators. The occupational health institute conducts regular dust tests in the packaging area, and the workshop publishes the test results on a regular basis. 2. The high-rise glass windows in the molded packaging area must be opened regularly to ensure good ventilation in the large warehouse. 3. During the stacking and storage of the products, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide gases in certain areas may exceed the minimum allowable levels in the workshop. Thirteen axial flow fans have been installed in the product storage warehouse; these fans must be turned on whenever the granulator is in operation or when products are stored there, to ensure that the hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide gases generated during the product formation process are promptly expelled outside. People must not be allowed to stay in the product stacking area for long periods of time. 4. Smoking and open flames are prohibited; fire hydrants in the sulfur storage area must be maintained regularly, and fires must be extinguished promptly once they occur.
