Simulated design of distillation column diameter

When using Aspen to simulate and design a distillation column, there is a range for the yield when setting parameters in Tray Sizing or Paching Sizing – is this range determined by the user? Do these two quantities have a significant impact on the simulation results?

Additionally, the tower diameter can be calculated in sections. However, I think this is just a reference value; it’s safer to use professional design software when actually designing the tower diameter.
