The tower equipment in our plant is exposed to three different temperatures when hot oil is used: 280, 250, and 200. The choice of 250 and 200 degrees is intended to prevent the formation of an oil film temperature. Dear sea friends, what is oil film temperature, and how is it formed?
Who asked you this question? I’ve only heard of an oil film, which is the layer of oil formed on the contact surface of bearings; it provides excellent lubrication. The heat transfer oil used in our facility also reaches temperatures of 280 to 90 degrees (usually around 200°C). I’ve never heard of anyone talking about the temperature of the oil film. First of all, I think it is unreasonable for your factory to use three oil temperatures: 280, 250, and 200. This requires three hot oil heating furnaces, resulting in a complex process and high equipment costs. Typical hot oil systems use a single temperature and require only one furnace. I have never heard of the concept of “preventing the formation of an oil film temperature.” If we must talk about the oil film temperature, my understanding is that within the heat exchanger, on the side of the oil, there is the main temperature of the oil; right at the surface in contact with the heat exchange tube walls, there is a film temperature. I wonder if you are referring to this \"film temperature\"? Of course, their temperatures are different. But membrane temperature is not either a factor that determines the hot oil medium. It can be said that 280-degree hot oil presents the most severe coking behavior, while coking at 250 and 200 degrees is less severe.
The oil film of heat transfer oil is the layer that is in close contact with the carbon steel pipe at the outermost part of the heat transfer oil flow. This oil film temperature is essential; what is commonly referred to as the temperature of the heat transfer oil is actually the temperature of the oil core, which is determined by the heat transmitted from the oil film to it. Formation of the oil film: The contact and wetting between thermal oil and carbon steel pipes result in the formation of an oil film; 1. The thinner the oil film, the higher the temperature resistance, as this prevents the thermal oil from coking or forming deposits; 2.
