The success of selecting the material for pipeline and equipment in inorganic fluorine chemical industries is directly related to the scale of project investment, economic benefits, and production safety. I’ll first offer a few preliminary thoughts to encourage everyone to share their ideas: Materials suitable for hydrogen fluoride media: 20%–30% hydrofluoric acid, temperatures below 150 degrees Celsius – polypropylene, vinyl fluoride, copper lining; 30%–60% nickel alloys, Hastelloy, anhydrous hydrofluoric acid, ordinary seamless carbon steel. For HF gas at temperatures above 250 degrees Celsius (anhydrous), grade 20 boiler steel is suitable. For low-temperature gases, ordinary carbon steel is appropriate. For gases at temperatures above 400 degrees Celsius, Monel and Incol600 are suitable
20%–60% hydrofluoric acid, below 150 degrees Celsius; fluoroplastic and copper materials can be used.
20%–30% hydrofluoric acid, at temperatures below 150 degrees Celsius: PPR pipes are preferable to copper pipes. For concentrations of 30–60%, steel pipes with a fluorovinyl lining will suffice. For anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, ordinary seamless carbon steel is adequate. For HF gas at temperatures above 250 degrees Celsius (anhydrous), 16MnR steel is used. For low-temperature gases, ordinary carbon steel is suitable. For gases at temperatures above 400 degrees Celsius, Inconel 600 is used
