What is the purpose of seal plan62? Generally, water is used to flush the outside of the seal. But there is also the use of N2 – does anyone know what the purpose of this is? Is it for cooling or flushing, or something else?
Guess: Is it to prevent the oxidation of trace amounts of the leaking medium?
1. Flammable and explosive: Use gas to achieve dilution. 2. Prone to crystallization and forms particles: Use water for flushing and lubrication. 3. Corrosive: Use water or other fluids for dilution. 4. High temperature: Use steam and water to reduce temperature. 5. Low temperature: Use gas or hot water for insulation. 6. Isolate the air and ensure a tight seal. If the seal leaks, the medium can leak into the seal discharge tank instead of escaping into the atmosphere.
When it is in gas form, the outlet is there; it seems to be only for intake and not for discharge. Is the outlet responsible for natural leakage?
In scheme 62, only import is possible; the gas or leaked liquid exits through the drain port or the gap between the shaft sleeve and the gland, and it is usually impossible to collect it.

In Scheme 62, only an inlet is provided; the main function of the sealed nitrogen is to dilute the small amount of volatile medium that leaks out of the pump and prevent it from being released directly into the atmosphere. It also helps to prevent the static ring seat and rotor from freezing due to the loss of heat, as well as from being contaminated by external impurities during the preparation of backup machines.
