I have a question regarding the power supply of control systems

The power supply for the control systems (including DCS\ITCC\ESD) should be configured by the electrical engineering team based on the capacity of each system, and a UPS must be installed. My question is: in the power supply system, are the UPS and the mains power connected in parallel? The UPS itself already has two power supplies: one is the mains electricity that passes through the UPS’s monitoring system, and the other is battery power in case of a failure. So, what kind of power sources are connected to the instrument power supply cabinet? What is the relationship between them?
Actually, you don’t need to overcomplicate this matter. The various power supply systems in DCS are already designed with redundancy. All you need to do is route an additional circuit from the mains power before it reaches the UPS, to the main circuit breaker in the DCS power cabinet; another main circuit breaker should then be connected to the UPS’s output. As for the internal power supply, the DCS manufacturer will arrange everything properly during the configuration process.
