Hello everyone. I am currently conducting tests for trace amounts of water in pentane (below 30PPM, using the electrolytic method). However, when the air humidity is high, sampling with a microsyringe is greatly affected by humidity. I am now considering using an automatic sample injection device to replace manual operations; this way, from sampling with a sample bottle to analysis, everything can be kept isolated from air and thus not affected by humidity. I was wondering if such a device exists. The sample volume required is 2 milliliters. If it does exist, please recommend a few options. Additionally, if any of you in this field have experience with this, I would appreciate it if you could share your insights as well. Thank you!

Chromatography uses a six-way valve for automatic sampling; however, the six-way valve may not be able to handle 2 mL of sample~
Thank you for both of your replies; it seems this issue is quite difficult to resolve
For chromatographic automatic sampling, it just requires switching the six-way valve; as long as you make the request, the manufacturer can meet it
This post was last edited by sxqssong on 2010-4-12 at 12:40. Just replace the dosing tube of the six-way valve with one that is 2 ml in size. The question is whether it will be difficult to transfer the sample from the six-way valve into the electrolytic cell.
