When a root valve is installed at the outlet of the liquid chlorine tank (the liquid chlorine exit), can a short pipe be used between the root valve and the tank, or must it be installed directly on the tank’s outlet flange? Are there any regulations in this regard? # hcbbs
I haven’t seen any standards regarding this, but it’s best to install the root valve at the direct outlet of the equipment.
The standard design involves direct connection to the equipment’s flange, and it is a dual-valve design; I haven’t come across any regulations regarding this.

We have always used two valves in the same direction; I’m not sure what the purpose of using one in the positive direction and the other in the negative direction is.
