This post was last edited by huo_guo on 2010-4-9 at 14:30. I have a gentle question: how is the diameter of the vent pipes for containers and equipment determined? Where can I find relevant information? How is the amount of exhaust gas generated by equipment such as containers determined? Please share any relevant information if you know it!I. Equipment manholes and access holes
Equipment diameter: Manholes/Access holes; Remarks:
<900mm: DN200
900~1200mm: DN500
>1200mm: DN600
II. Dimensions of discharge outlets for towers and vessels
Diameter of vertical vessels (m): Diameter of discharge outlet (mm):
≤1.0: 40
1.2~3.0: 50
3.0~5.0: 80
>5.0: 100
Diameter of horizontal vessels (m): Diameter of discharge outlet (mm):
≤1.0: 40
1.2~3.0: 50
>3.0: 80
The size of the discharge pipe can also be determined based on the equipment’s volume:
Equipment volume (m3): Diameter of discharge outlet (mm):
≤1.5: 25
1.5~6.0: 40
6.0~17: 50
>17: 80
III. Minimum diameter of exhaust and discharge outlets for process pipelines
Pipeline size, DN; Diameter of exhaust/liquid outlets, DN:
≤25: 15
40~150: 20
200~350: 25
>400: 40
