Our company uses the Kaier membrane process for the brine feed; after two years of operation of the subsequent reactor, severe scaling was found inside it, adhering to the inner walls of the reactor and significantly affecting the liquid level in the pre-treatment unit as well as the flow rate of the brine. How can this situation be prevented to avoid scaling in the downstream reactor? Are there any ways to reduce scaling? Is there any substance in a brine process that can promote the precipitation of calcium carbonate? # hcbbs
For now, we can only resort to washing the car while it’s parked. The effect of scaling on flow rate is actually not very significant; even when the pipe diameter is reduced by half, the flow rate can still be increased.
