Last three sentences

Before graduation, in the last class, the teacher said three things to us: 1. What is the highest peak in the world? ““Mount Everest,” “And what about the second highest peak?” The entire room fell silent. ——Sometimes the second place goes to someone completely unknown. 2. If someone wants to boil a pot of water and finds that there isn’t enough firewood, what should they do? Some students said to look for wood, while others said to borrow wood. The teacher said, “Why not pour out some of the water?” ” 3. There was a man who was determined to slay dragons; he eventually found a great master and learned the skills needed to do so. As for what would become of this man in the future, some of his peers said he would become a hero, while others said he would achieve great things in life. The teacher said, “He will spend his life in misery, because there are no dragons in this world at all.” Let’s encourage each other!

It’s not the first time I’ve watched it, but it still moves me a lot
I’m not quite sure about the first sentence – do people really compete fiercely to be number one? Then wouldn’t the whole world turn into madmen? I think it’s better to keep a calm mindset.
Three thought-provoking sentences; take the time to reflect on them.
Second place means nothing either in our company. .
I still don’t quite understand these three sentences; we’ll see how it goes in the future.
Why couldn’t I think of such a simple truth on my own?
