Issues regarding PLC installation

My laptop runs on Win7, and Siemens PLCs can only be installed under XP. However, I cannot install the drivers for XP on my laptop. What should I do? Is it possible to install XP on Win7? It’s quite complicated, but I’ve seen an engineer do it before. Could some expert please give me some advice? I’m having trouble installing Emerson’s system as well; it’s really frustrating
The hard drive should have more than two partitions; install XP first, and when installing WIN 7, choose another partition for installation!

Yes, there are virtual machines that work under Win7, such as Virtual PC or VM; you can search for them on Baidu. . .
If your laptop is used for engineering work, it’s better to stick to XP as a more reliable option; many common software applications don’t work with Win7, let alone engineering software
