Our plant uses a spray-type saturator for ammonia absorption; the ammonia concentration before the saturator is 1000 mg per cubic meter, while it is 180 mg per cubic meter after the saturator. The acidity level is 5. May I ask the experts what causes the higher ammonia concentration after the saturator? Thank you!
It’s not the case that ammonia levels are always high every day; may I ask the experts what could be the reason?
1. A low circulation rate and poor mixing lead to locally high or low concentrations in the saturator, affecting ammonia absorption. 2. The nozzle is clogged; simultaneously, check if there is any change in the saturation tank resistance. 3. The mother liquor has a low density.
Is there any fluctuation in the temperature after the gas preheater?
The pressure preheaters in the distribution box are all stable
The amount of mother liquor circulation is low, or the nozzles have fallen off or are not oriented correctly.
The mother liquor has a high ammonia content, large circulation volume, and high temperature
All of the large and small nozzles in our company’s saturators have been replaced, and based on the overflow from the full-flow channel, the amount of overflow has decreased significantly. I’m not sure what the reason is – could it be that the nozzles are clogged, or perhaps they are installed in the wrong direction? I would appreciate the advice from my colleagues. Thanks
