Regarding the arrangement of tubes in shell-and-tube heat exchangers, I’m not sure how the arrangement is determined in the examples given in the Chemical Engineering Design Manuals (both 3rd and 4th editions). Is there some standard that governs this? I’m not clear! ! ! Also, is it tube-shell ke, or tube-shell qiao? ? ? ? Hehe
Pipe arrays are in accordance with GB151, and generally adopt arrangements such as equilateral triangles, squares, or concentric circles. Generally, it is pronounced as “KE” for tube shell.

We usually also use small software to arrange the pipes, trying to cover as much area as possible; if there is space around, bypass baffles to prevent short circuits can be added
Try to fill it as much as possible; in cases of space constraints, the software sometimes doesn’t allow for calculations
6th floor: why are there so many pipes when not that many are needed?
They all have their own piping programs!
Qiao or Ke works either way. I checked, and it says that Qiao is the most standard pronunciation, but old* tends to pronounce it as Ke
I’ve always read it as ‘qiao’; I’ve never heard of it being read as ‘ke’
