Can a wedge flow meter be equipped with a vent? If possible, how would adding it in the most reasonable way be?
A wedge flowmeter can be equipped with a vent. How to add it depends on the specific medium, pressure, pipeline layout, etc. Feel free to discuss this with us!

The wedge flow meter is a new type of flow meter; its sensing element is a V-shaped wedge (also known as a wedge-shaped throttle element), with its smooth apex facing downward. This arrangement facilitates the smooth passage of liquids containing suspended particles or viscous liquids, preventing backflow on the upstream side of the throttle element. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for measuring volumetric flow rate and mass flow rate in industries such as petroleum and chemicals. Key features: 1. Good repeatability and high accuracy; the calibrated wedge flow meter achieves an accuracy of 0.5 grade. 2 It has self-cleaning capability, with no dead zones. 3 Wear-resistant, long-lasting, and highly reliable. 4 The permanent pressure drop is smaller than that of an orifice plate. 5 Integrated design: no pressure guiding pipelines are required for on-site installation; it can be connected directly to pipes via threading or flanges. Construction is time and labor-saving, and maintenance is convenient. Measurement principle: When fluid passes through a wedge flow meter, the throttling effect of the wedge creates a pressure difference across its upstream and downstream sides, with this pressure difference being proportional to the square of the flow rate. This pressure difference is measured at ports located on both sides of the wedge, sent to a differential pressure transmitter where it is converted into an electrical signal. After further processing by a dedicated intelligent flow calculator, the flow rate can be determined. Key features: 1. That’s too general. A wedge flow meter is a device that measures flow rate indirectly by detecting pressure differences. What exactly is the medium being measured? Is it a liquid or a gas? Where should the venting be done? What is the purpose of venting?
For measuring clean acidic gases, liuhuanghuishouzhuanzhiyong
Venting can be added, but it’s better not to; I recommend adding flushing oil instead
What is the purpose of venting the gas being measured? When measuring liquids, a vent is added to eliminate bubbles that may accumulate above the wedge.
