What media are pipes made of stainless steel grade 304 suitable for? What are the applicable physical property conditions?
There are many media that can be used; 304 is primarily characterized by its resistance to high and low temperatures (from -196°C to 700°C), as well as its good corrosion resistance. However, for austenitic stainless steels, the chloride content in the medium is particularly a concern; other factors such as cost and weldability need to be considered comprehensively.
