What is the detailed explanation for the top five and bottom five flowmeters? I’m not very familiar with this claim. Could someone please explain it? It would be best to have a source; thanks.

There are certain requirements regarding the installation location of flow meters. A straight pipe section of a certain length must be ensured upstream and downstream of the flow meter. The specific length requirements for the straight pipe section are: 10 times the pipe diameter upstream, and 5 times downstream. This is both the so-called top ten and bottom five.
