Mass flow meters are expensive, and they require regular calibration at measurement stations; therefore, there aren’t many of them in petrochemical enterprises. They are generally used in loading systems, and they are also employed in important applications such as feed to plants and product discharge from plants, but this is rare. Moreover, mass flow meters rarely move during normal operation, so they generally do not fail.
