In design mode, HTFS+ will design a heat exchanger such as 549X2850, but the 549 specification does not exist. What should I do to deal with this?
Use the “Tube Layout” feature to manually and gradually modify the layout until it precisely matches the desired geometry.
Heat exchanger design has not yet reached such a level of precision, and it is not necessary either in practical engineering applications. The heat exchange area calculated by software and similar values are used as empirical estimates, and generally a 1/4 margin should be included. So there’s no need to worry about making a choice – you can simply round up the value. For example, you can choose 600x4500 (for tube specifications), and so on
It depends on how much design margin you choose! Lean upward during normal design!
