I recently started working with CASEARⅡ, and I noticed that the allowable stress in the static output results is zero. I’m not sure what’s going on Please help resolve this if you are aware of the solution. The operating conditions and output results are as follows: Operating conditions: SUS W+P1 OPE W+P1+T1 EXP L2-L1; Material: A105; Temperature: 350 degrees ; P1: Allowable stress at 200KPa: Installation temperature (21.11 degrees) – 160644.172KPa; SH1 (350 degrees) – 119801.281KPa. Results: SUS condition: CODE STRESS CHECK PASSED. Load case 1 (SUS): Maximum stresses: (KPa). Code stress ratio (%): 60.6 @Node 170; Code stress: 72654.0; Allowable stress: 119801.3; Maximum stress: 1919.6 @Node 158. Bending stress: 72250.9 @Node 170; Torsion stress: 4041.2 @Node 65; Hoop stress: 1705.0 @Node 30. 3D maximum intensity: 74265.9 @Node 170. OPE condition: NO CODE STRESS CHECK PERFORMED. Load case 2 (OPE): Maximum stresses: (KPa); OPE stress ratio (%): 0.0 @Node 38; OPE stress: 167163.9; Allowable stress: 0.0; Maximum stress: 3309.8 @Node 200. Bending stress: 164022.9 @Node 38; Torsion stress: 59248.1 @Node 220; Hoop stress: 1705.0 @Node 30. 3D maximum intensity: 167156.6 @Node 38. EXP condition: CODE STRESS CHECK PASSED. Load case 3 (EXP): Maximum stresses: (KPa); Code stress ratio (%): 50.4 @Node 38; Code stress: 172036.4; Allowable stress: 341288.7; Maximum stress: 3964.0 @Node 200. Bending stress: 171287.0 @Node 38; Torsion stress: 59463.9 @Node 220; Hoop stress: 0.0 @Node 30. 3D maximum intensity: 175594.6 @Node 38
The SUS condition and EXP condition correspond to primary stress and secondary stress respectively; stress needs to be considered, and your output results are normal. For the OPE condition, stress is not relevant – what matters are restraint and displacement, that is, the restraining forces and displacements.
