Pressure in the balance pipe of a centrifugal compressor

The centrifuges driven by steam turbines in our factory are for single-stage compression. A balance pipe is installed at the inlet and outlet of the compressor. I would like to ask everyone: how is the pressure on this balance pipe calculated?
Inlet pressure + k* outlet pressure, where the coefficient k is less than 1 and is related to the structure of the balance drum, among other factors.
