Is a release agent a surfactant? Could someone explain it simply and clearly? Thank you
Simply put, it is a special type of lubricant
There are many types of release agents; I’m not sure which one you are referring to? Generally speaking, release agents are composed of a mixture of several ingredients, which may include surfactants; in some cases, a single ingredient is used directly, such as mineral oil
I’m not sure which type of release agent you’re referring to. I only know of the release agent used for cement products; it contains surfactants, mineral oil, vegetable oil residues, as well as a few other additives in small amounts, along with water
