Is AUTOCAD 2008 compatible with Win 7?

I bought a new computer that comes with Windows 7 pre-installed. My old AUTOCAD 2008 version ran on Vista, and now I want to install AUTOCAD 2008 on Windows 7, but I’m not sure if it’s compatible. Anyone with experience could please let me know and share their insights. AUTOCAD 2010 can indeed be installed and used on Win7, but I don’t want to download it again – the file size is too large, and the office’s internet speed is too slow; it would take an eternity to complete the download.
It seems that 2008 can’t be installed on Win7
Acad 2008 can be installed on Win7; I just helped someone install it by using a virtual optical drive.
It can be installed; I tested it just now and it works well
I was unable to install Auto CAD 2008 on my WIN7 Ultimate version; the installation kept showing that certain files were missing, so I gave up and decided to try downloading the installation version of CAD 2011 instead.
