To completely address the impact of condensate water and return water in thermal systems on the dissolved oxygen level in the condensate as well as on the vacuum level of the condenser, it was decided to install a low-level water tank. This tank is used to collect together all the condensate water and return water that come into direct contact with air within the thermal system; such water is then pumped to the throat area of the condenser using variable-frequency speed control pumps. Through uniform misting, the contact surface between the condensate water and steam is increased, thereby accelerating heat transfer and facilitating the release of dissolved oxygen. Since the low-level water tank is located in the pipeline corridor for the condensate pumps at -8 meters below ground level, variable-frequency speed control pumps are used to work in conjunction with the level sensors of the tank, ensuring that its level remains constant. To prevent any abnormalities in the condensate water system from affecting the vacuum level of the turbine, a pneumatic shut-off valve has been installed on the outlet pipeline of the condensate pump. When an alarm is triggered due to low vacuum in the turbine or low water level in the low-level water tank, this pneumatic shut-off valve closes automatically, thus helping to maintain stable vacuum levels in the turbine.
