If the file is larger than 1GB or there is no QQ account of the recipient, then split-compressing it is the solution: (1) Right-click on the file or folder that needs to be split-compressed, and select the “Add to archive” option from the menu that appears. (2) In the pop-up settings window, we can determine the path and name where the files will be stored in the \"Archive Name\" dialog box; thus, the files after being compressed into volumes can be saved in any folder on the hard drive. At the same time, select the compression method from the drop-down list under \"Compression Method\"; it is recommended to use the \"Best\" option, as this allows WinRAR to compress files to the greatest extent possible. Additionally, the compression volume size dialog box at the bottom allows you to set the size of each compressed package. (3) Select the archiving options based on actual needs, such as saving the file directly as a self-extracting EXE file, setting authentication information, and deleting the original file after compression, etc. In this way, we can obtain files with the predefined filename as the prefix and names such as rar, r01, r02, etc. as the suffix; these files can then be uploaded to a NAS or sent away. Merging these files is also very simple: just copy all the compressed files into a folder, right-click on the *.rar file, and select the “Extract File” option.
