I would like to ask whether it is possible to use special double-headed studs in the installation of pressure vessels without flat washers and spring washers
As a supplement, the pressure rating is 16 MPa
Are they foot bolts? Some of the equipment I’ve worked on didn’t come with them; it’s just a double nut plus a coating – as long as the strength and stress requirements are met, that’s fine
The double-headed bolts used in the equipment we manufacture here must all come with washers
Gaskets are necessary, but spring washers are not needed, as pressure vessels are stationary equipment, so there is no need to design spring washers.
It should be possible, as long as the stress meets the strength requirements
Gaskets should be included; no need for springs
All of ours on-site come with gaskets.
It should be possible to use it, as this provides better stress distribution; however, the flange standards do not specify this；
It’s best to use a flat washer, as it is beneficial for the stress on the screw
