What are the prospects for crude benzene hydrogenation in 2010? Will the prospects be average, better, or a dead end? I hope industry professionals will discuss this: L
I’d really like to hear the opinions of industry professionals
It will be great; we’ve secured a large order for heavy-duty hydrogenation production equipment
I’d really like to hear the opinions of industry professionals
The crude hydrogenation project is quite promising; at present, many companies in China are either building or planning to build such projects, with the main raw material being the crude products from coking plants.
In 2010, the domestic steel market began to decline, resulting in more than 90% of coking enterprises operating with minimal profits, thin profits, or even losses! Currently, the coking industry suffers from severe overcapacity, and a new reshuffle is inevitable! Hydrogenated benzene mainly comes from coking plants; a decline in the capacity of the coking industry leads to a reduction in the production of crude benzene, resulting in higher prices. This, in turn, inevitably increases the costs of benzene hydrogenation projects. The entire oil market is in a period of volatility, and the price of refined benzene is also at low levels! Therefore, benzene hydrogenation projects will inevitably operate in a highly competitive environment in the future! Especially the competition from crude and low-quality sources! Just my personal opinion! Thank you!
In fact, it’s no longer possible to use benzene hydrogenation units, as rising raw material prices and resource shortages would lead to unfair competition among enterprises. It is recommended to look for other promising projects.
The prospects are not good at all; currently, there is a clear shortage of crude benzene, and the price difference between crude benzene and its main product, pure benzene, is very small. Assuming a scale of 100,000 tons and an investment of 300 million yuan, then if the price difference between crude benzene and pure benzene falls below 1,500, the benzene hydrogenation plant will operate at a loss. Currently, the price difference between the two is fluctuating around 1,600.
Long-term bullish outlook for crude benzene; long-term bearish outlook for pure benzene ……
The supply of raw materials falls short of demand, and competition will be fierce in the future; those who cannot obtain raw materials will surely perish.
Hopes are beautiful, but hopes are also fragile!
