Many people say that learning English is good, but I rarely hear why it’s good. In what ways does it show its advantages? It’s not often used at work, is it? A little motivation to learn English…
There’s no need to learn that; it’s better to focus on acquiring more *professional knowledge. If you’re highly skilled, who will worry that there won’t be anyone to act as your translator?
Truly talented engineers also need to read more English-language literature. Learning English can greatly expand the scope of your knowledge and the boundaries of your life. The world today is one global village.
In short, English is like a computer – it is a tool. With this tool, you will get twice the result with half the effort. If not, no one will die. If you can accept this, you don’t have to learn English.
English is a tool; mastering it can open up more opportunities. One of my seniors was extremely good at English – after graduation he went to work for a foreign company and earned an annual salary of 100,000, which made us all envious!
