It’s useless! I’m not trying to dampen spirits, but how many design institutes are there? Larger chemical companies design their own facilities, while smaller ones modify their workshops on their own. Moreover, for the injection chemistry exam, one has to take 21 subjects – it’s really unfair. These are all subjects that students already study in university; so why take those exams again? There are few, if any, employers who hire such graduates – so what’s the point of taking those exams?

Obtaining a professional certification is mainly beneficial; after all, your company won’t require you to have such a certification! So what’s the point of taking the exam? Many people don’t understand this. If it were mandatory for all chemical companies to have employees with such certifications, then it would indeed be good – but such a policy wouldn’t have been introduced over the past few decades. There is only one chemical engineering design institute in each province; how much demand can there be there? I completed a diploma program in fine chemicals in 2000, and it took me just one and a half years to earn a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering through self-study exams. If I had wanted to obtain that professional certification, I could have gotten it in two years. But even if I had that certificate, would my company raise my salary? Or would I go work at a design institute? When will those institutes start hiring again? For other professional certifications, only four exams are required! Moreover, there is high demand in the market – you can use these certifications to work or to earn extra money by licensing them out. There’s no need to take exams just to satisfy your vanity; it’s a waste of time and effort. In the field of chemistry, there are many other professional certifications that can be obtained, allowing you to earn an additional income. If you can get that particular certification, why not try to get the others, which require only four exams? It’s impossible not to pass them

It really depends on the purpose behind taking this exam. The reason for taking it is to enhance one’s own skills. It’s difficult to pass unless you work in design or are related to design, as the subsequent topics all involve design standards and such things

First of all, it can be said that you know nothing about design. Do you know what knowledge a product designer needs to have? Do you know the severity of an unacceptable drawing? Do you know that even when choosing a bolt or nut, there are strict standard specifications? Do you know that if there are problems with the design, they will have to bear legal responsibility for it? Process is the key; they are responsible for coordinating professionals in areas such as civil engineering, instrumentation, electrical systems, equipment, and HVAC. If each specialist lacks knowledge in certain areas, then who can you lead? The things tested are the knowledge they must possess. Do you think design is like working in a factory – just shifting shifts, turning valves on and off, and recording data? Moreover, moreover, moreover, LZ’s cognitive abilities. . . . . What ignorance! First, there are hundreds of design institutes and engineering companies across the country – how many did LZ mention? Please list out Bernoulli’s equation, equations for non-ideal states, formulas related to thermodynamics, enthalpy, entropy, stress analysis, as well as knowledge of differentiation, integration, indefinite integral equations, and linear algebra. Material balance and heat balance are fundamental to design work; most people who take these certifications are already working in or planning to work in the design industry, as these certifications represent the best qualification for such a career. It’s not like everyone is obtaining these certifications without a purpose – does your effort even have any meaning? Go and see how many design firms or private companies that are hiring give absolute priority to those with a certification in this field. To use an inappropriate analogy, you might not even know what these certificates are, but in schools, those with a level 6 certificate have an easier time finding a job than those with only a level 4 certificate. I truly despise those who talk nonsense without any knowledge of design

A certificate is the qualification needed to become a full-time designer; it represents your skills, serves as a basis for advancing in your professional rank, and is also an essential tool for landing jobs. In the first 5–10 years of working as a designer, one can barely make ends meet, but as long as there are project awards, the income can be quite substantial； But 10 years from now, as long as you’re not an outlier, an annual salary of 300,000 shouldn’t be difficult to achieve (it varies by location; by then you’ll at least be a senior engineer), and drawings are sold by the sheet
