The overall capital investment is low, and the utilization rate of raw materials is high; natural gas is used for ammonia synthesis, which makes use of H without utilizing C. If methanol is produced concurrently, both C and H can be utilized more effectively. Both transformation and purification designs can be simplified. This plan is good, but the methanol industry is currently in a downturn.
