Filter screens are generally installed at the inlet of centrifugal pumps in new installations. The purpose is to filter out debris in the pipeline, but failing to clean it regularly can have a significant impact on the proper operation of the pump. Especially with multi-stage pumps, a single shortage of material can cause the ring and the disk to grind against each other, or even get stuck together. The consequences are severe. However, it is difficult to choose the right time for cleaning. So, I have an idea and would like to hear everyone’s opinions: adding a pressure gauge between the filter and the pump, so as to determine whether there is a shortage of material by assessing the pressure loss.
It is possible to determine whether cleaning is necessary based on the traffic volume. It is very necessary to install a flow meter.

In my opinion: 1. In conventional designs, the inlet itself is equipped with a pressure gauge! The condition of the filter screen can be determined based on the stable pressure value (normal value) indicated by the pressure gauge ; 2. Such problems can be addressed by considering the management system for auxiliary pumps ; For example: Establish a scientific regular cleaning system based on the characteristics of the materials ;
