What are the new methods for sulfur recovery? Is there anyone who can share them with us?
I’m not sure if the new method you mentioned refers to industrial applications or is still only in the experimental stage. Our plant uses wet oxidation desulfurization, with PDS catalysts.
High-pressure hot nitrogen is used to blow out the liquid flow accumulated in the reactor and trapped in the cooler within a short time, thereby reducing the sulfur partial pressure in the system and increasing the sulfur conversion rate.
Could the two people upstairs roughly explain what exactly their method involves? I’m very interested in their approach!

I’m not sure exactly what kind of new methods for sulfur recovery you’re interested in. There seem to be many methods for desulfurization at present, but in actual projects, only a few are being used. The main new methods all have various drawbacks, with emissions not meeting standards being the primary issue. Currently, 8 sets of LO-CAT systems are in operation in China, and domestic catalysts have reached a stage of semi-experimental use. If localization can be achieved, this would likely be the best method for handling low-sulfur content, as it has almost no inherent defects and offers many advantages; the main issue is that the relevant technology is in the hands of foreigners.
