Advantages of PDS catalysts

The PDS method for gas desulfurization is a type of wet oxidation process, and its main advantages are: (1) It uses ammonia in the gas as the alkaline source, so no additional alkali is required during operation, resulting in low operational costs. 　　(2) A new PDS catalyst is used, which acts as a catalyst for both the desulfurization and regeneration processes; it offers high desulfurization efficiency, with an H2S removal efficiency of >98% and an HCN removal efficiency of >80%. 　　(3) A gas pre-cooling tower is added in front of the desulfurization tower to ensure that the gas desulfurization process takes place under optimal temperature conditions; it also performs pretreatment and purification of the gas, which helps to improve the quality and yield of sulfur as well as reduce sulfur slag. 　　(4) The ammonia vapor generated after ammonia evaporation is introduced into the gas before it enters the pre-cooling tower, increasing the ammonia content in the gas. This ensures an adequate supply of alkali for ammonia-based desulfurization of the gas, thereby helping to improve the efficiency of H2S removal from the gas. 　　(5) The sulfur content is low, at around 80%.
