It definitely needs to be weighed, but it would also be acceptable if your technician can keep the error within 100g.
If you can’t do it without a scale, then use one; once you’ve gotten good at it, you can discard the scale.
Weighing asbestos fibers is important as it relates to the mixing ratios. I don’t know where the asbestos fibers you use come from, nor am I aware of your mixing rules. The biggest difference between the modern chemical industry and the past is the change in management philosophy: all operations must be quantified, strictly quantified, in order to maintain consistency. This is especially true when it comes to the adsorption process using membranes; it cannot be handled arbitrarily based on experience. Such a management approach leads to a decline in technology, and the fate of the factory ends up depending on the whims of one or two experienced workers, which is very dangerous. Agree with the comment above! Adhere to quantification and standardization! Especially for modified diaphragms, there are strict requirements regarding the amount of asbestos fluff added (due to the relationship between fluff length and ratio); after adsorption, this affects the operating quality and economic efficiency of the electrolyzer!
