The design temperature difference for R22/R23 condensation-evaporation units is generally set at 5°C, while the heat transfer temperature difference for NH3/CO2 condensation-evaporation units is generally set at 3°C℃； The type can be shell-and-tube or plate heat exchanger; the latter is relatively more expensive, while the former requires a larger amount of refrigerant and a bigger expansion vessel.
