For the surface temperature measurement thermocouples of the Desgu gasifier, should the compensation wires be used to send the signal directly to the DCS, or should the temperature change first be converted into a 4–20 mA electrical signal before being sent to the DCS? Please advise. It would be greatly appreciated if there could be pictures showing the actual layout of the wall temperature measurement thermocouples (temperature sensing cables).

For milliampere signals going into the DCS, just install it according to the instructions – it’s not difficult
Generally, the temperature variation is converted into a 4–20 mA electrical signal before being sent to the DCS; special types of temperature sensors are those with high input impedance； It seems that Shenzhen Dianli Tong also uses temperature signal collectors to connect to the DCS via communication, which reduces costs.
We use surface thermocouples from Shenzhen Dianli Tong, which are imported products from the American company XCO. The entire gasification furnace is divided into 36 zones, with each zone’s maximum temperature being displayed. There is a junction box on site; the surface thermocouples are connected to the connectors in this junction box via compensation wires. Each connector has six channels, with proper isolation between them. Each connector is equipped with a communication module, and the communications from all six connectors are aggregated onto a single communication card, which is then sent to the DCS control room for monitoring. The control room contains the necessary communication reception cards and configuration software for signal conversion and display
