For example: sm110068-150-A2A-R. I mainly don’t know what A2A and R mean. Similar to this are H2A, T, A3A, B2A, F? I really have no idea what they mean, nor do I know where to look up information on them; I can only turn to everyone here for help. Thank you
It is specified in the pipe specification sheet, as well as in the legend on the first page of the PID diagram. A3A and B2A represent the pipe grades, including information such as the nominal pressure of the pipes and their material. Generally, the location where “R” appears indicates information related to pipe insulation or heating, but it’s not clear what the meaning of “R” in your case is; you can check the pipe specification sheet for details
1. The numbering of pipes must be determined according to the project’s pipe grade table (pipe grade specifications). 2. The first digit should be the code for the medium inside the pipe along with the pipe identifier; the second digit indicates the pipe diameter of DN150; the third digit represents the corresponding pipe grade, which includes details such as the pipe material, outer diameter and wall thickness, design temperature, pressure, pipe manufacturing standards, the selection of valves and fittings, and the specifications for flange fasteners. The last one may indicate whether the pipeline requires insulation or heat tracing, etc.
The main issue is that I don’t have the legend for the PID homepage, so there are many parts that I can’t understand. Could you please tell me where I can find the pipeline specification sheet?

The terms H2A, T, A3A, B2A mentioned by the poster likely refer to the pipe materials; this should be indicated in the legend. Every design institute is different.
I basically agree with statement #2 – didn’t anyone at your company tell you? Ask the chief engineer

SM: Pipeline medium code (SM generally denotes styrene); 110068: Pipeline number (composed of three or more digits; generally, the first digit indicates the unit number, followed by optional sequence numbers or section numbers – the exact number of digits can be determined as desired) ; 150: Nominal pipe diameter (DN150) ; A2A: Pipe material grade (the first A denotes the pressure rating, the second A indicates the material type, and the number in between represents the sequence number) ; R: Insulation code (R stands for heat insulation)
It is recommended that LZ ask or check the provisions related to pipelines in your company’s engineering and technical regulations; there should be clear guidelines regarding the aforementioned issues
