Which module is used to simulate the deaerator in Aspen? I seem to have seen the use of flash2 in some literature or examples, but I’m not sure; could someone please help answer this question! If you have any relevant literature and examples, please share them; I would be extremely grateful.
First, the method of deoxygenation needs to be considered. If only thermal deoxygenation is used, I think Flsh2 is the right choice; however, when chemical deoxygenation is employed, it becomes worthwhile to consider using this module. I haven’t tried which specific module to use; perhaps considering adding a reaction module would be a good idea. This is just my personal opinion, for reference only.
If LZ regards the deaerator merely as a mixed-type heat exchanger, the MIXER model can be used directly as a substitute
Deoxygenation is a simulation on the ppm to ppb scale; I’m not sure if Aspen will work for this. It seems more practical to simply calculate it manually using Henry’s law
Has the original poster obtained the final answer or the solution that was ultimately adopted? Could you provide some reference information? Thank you very much!
It is usually flash2. This is mainly achieved through physical deoxidation methods (such as heating water to remove oxygen), in order to separate non-condensable gases from the liquid.
