Are there special flanges for wafer butterfly valves? Does anyone know?

Yes! For butterfly valves with soft seals and a diameter of DN200 or larger, special flanges for butterfly valves must be used; otherwise, leakage will definitely occur as they cannot withstand the pressure
Butterfly valve flanges must be used, as their outer diameter is slightly larger; ordinary flanges may prevent the valve from being installed.
It is better to use a butterfly flange; the outer diameter of a butterfly flange is larger than that of a standard flange, which allows it to press against the sealing surface.
Generally, there are no dedicated flanges: The most important aspect regarding wafer butterfly valves is the issue of the spacing between the positioning bolt holes. When purchasing wafer butterfly valves, if the spacing between these bolt holes is in accordance with European standards, it is possible to buy flanges of the corresponding pressure rating and from the same standard； If the dimensions of the positioning bolt holes are according to the American system, flanges corresponding to that system can be purchased

For hard-sealed butterfly valves, a dedicated butterfly valve flange is not necessary; soft-sealed butterfly valves with adhesive coating also do not require a dedicated butterfly valve flange. Other types of butterfly valves (clamped or flanged) need to use a dedicated butterfly valve flange.
Why aren’t special flanges used for hard-sealed butterfly valves? Could you send some samples of such flanges for reference?
