Cranes used in the electrolysis workshop are required to have a high-precision automatic positioning function, with a positioning accuracy of less than 10 MM. The Otter Tail cranes use P+F’s WCS-PG210 series of automatic positioning encoder systems. However, given the harsh industrial environment in the workshop, which causes significant damage to the encoder belts and their supports, it is planned to use SIKC’s laser distance meter DME3000-111. Does anyone have experience using this device? Please provide instructions regarding the positioning accuracy and usage. Thank you
For the positioning of heavy machinery, a laser positioning system is a better choice; Otter Tail cranes use encoders, while Konecranes employ laser positioning.
