How should the length of the pressure-taking insertion tube for a double-flange level differential pressure transmitter be selected? Also, if the pressure tapping tube is required to be installed at a 45-degree angle upward, is any adjustment needed for determining the length of the insertion tube? This is for places where crystallization is likely to occur, right? We don’t need to use this method either; in fact, it’s fine to use a flushing liquid. Why use an insert-type device?
What LZ is referring to is installation on horizontal pipes; it is advisable that the end face of the flange extension be in touch with the inner wall of the pipe, without extending into the pipe, as this would create a negative pressure chamber that can affect the measurement results. If installation is required on vertical pipes, it is recommended to change the installation location. An angle of 45 degrees vertically makes any installation unsuitable, as it either leads to rapid damage of the diaphragm or to crystallization.

What needs to be measured is the liquid level in a storage tank; the mixture consists of solids and liquids, with a solid content of 38%, and there is stirring involved. The first part of the description refers to the pressure measurement tube being installed horizontally, but an engineer suggested installing it at an angle of 45 degrees upward (an acute angle with the horizontal plane) to prevent crystals from blocking the tube. It is recommended to use an insert-type double-flange level transmitter, as the pressure tapping pipe head can easily get clogged.
