What are the methods for supporting large-diameter coal gas pipelines? Generally, the structural support is handled by civil engineering teams, but what about the support for the pipelines themselves? It’s not possible to leave everything to the civil engineering team. What reference manuals should be used, or how do others handle this issue? Is it necessary to add ribs to large-diameter coal gas pipelines in order to increase their stiffness? Are there any manuals, standards, or reference materials on this topic?
The design institute should have provided you with the corresponding drawing sets for use in production. Simply put, use pipe sections with the same diameter as the pipeline, cut out intersections that connect to the pipe to be supported, in order to support that pipeline. As for whether fixed supports or sliding supports should be used at the bottom, I’m not sure; it’s necessary to consult the design institute, and it would be best if they could prepare drawings or provide a set of specifications.
Some manuals come with picture albums that can be used as a reference. Recently, my folder structure got messed up, and I’ve forgotten which book it is; I’ll let the original poster know once I find it. Additionally, one can refer to the equipment saddles; large-diameter pipes can be treated as horizontal equipment, and this is also the approach adopted by major design institutes. There’s nothing complicated about it – it’s simply a matter of organizing things in this way.

Check the standard drawings for pipe supports; for large-diameter pipes, ribs or stiffening plates are required. According to the specifications, it’s sufficient to use the J series
