Let’s discuss the differences between SW6 and PV Desktop in terms of computing

The SW6 calculation is formatted in such a way that the results and the process are clearly visible at a glance. Moreover, it is relatively simple to operate, and it covers a wide range of calculations. Apart from being able to calculate large storage tanks, I don’t see any advantages to PV Desktop; the simulated graphics it provides are basically useless. It also automatically modifies certain data, which means that the results you save are altered automatically. Results can be generated even without any input on your part, or if the input you provide is incorrect, results will still be produced if you don’t check carefully. This results in discrepancies in the nuclear drawings. It is not possible to create a Word document directly. Another advantage is that it can provide design reference data such as the total weight, with relatively detailed calculations.

There are more SW6 users than PVDesktop users; I’ve only used SW6, and it’s good enough for my needs

We use it only for calculating storage tanks, or to address certain resonance issues related to towers; mainly, we use SW6
