What is the current market situation for coal-based needle coke in China, and what are its prospects? Is it possible to scale up this project to a processing capacity of 300,000 tons of tar? Please share your opinions
Pinacol coke is a scarce product both domestically and internationally. Its price is generally less affected by domestic production conditions, as most pinacol coke is imported; coal-based pinacol coke holds a large market share in China
What is the level of technology for producing coal-based acicular coke domestically, and what is the gap compared to foreign countries?
The gap is still significant, and the quality is not very good. The market for needle coke is not large; it is domestic carbon enterprises that have single-handedly expanded this market. In the past, everything was imported, whether it was coal-based or oil-based needle coke. Coal-based needle coke is produced in China, but there are no manufacturers that can produce high-quality oil-based needle coke. To some extent, coal-based and oil-based needle coke cannot replace each other. If only the economic benefits of needle coke are considered, they may not be very good; however, when overall benefits are taken into account, this project is quite profitable
I would like to ask the person upstairs: what exactly does \"comprehensive benefits\" refer to? Thank you :)
There are significant differences in the properties of coal-based needle coke compared to oil-based needle coke. Several manufacturers in China are producing it, but they face certain technical challenges; however, breakthroughs are likely to occur soon, which will lead to an oversupply.
For a project with a tar processing capacity of 300,000 tons, it would be best to locate it at the existing carbon black plant in order to maximize the synergistic benefits
